We found an interesting Scientific American video segment about a Chinese 2-year old who reads and recognizes over 2,000 Chinese characters.
Li Tianqi started reading at 10 months old. While American toddlers are just starting to learn their ABCs, Li Tianqi mastered fifth-grade level reading before turning two.

In April, high IQ society MENSA admitted its youngest member ever. Elise Tan Roberts from London, England scored in the top 0.2% of the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale test when she was only two years and four months old.
